Thanks to Fishbait and his descriptions of jetty fishing at Nehalem, I caught my first salmon today - a coho with too many fins! I'm a transplanted Texan trying to learn Northwest fishing, and Fishbait's invitation to the Ifish jetty fish gathering on Saturday was too tempting - so I went today. Just as he said, I used a buzz bomb off the jetty and landed a nice coho about two hours before high tide. Now I'm hooked for sure! See you Saturday, Fishbait. I'll be the gray-beard in zebra-striped cap. And thanks for the tips. I've learned a lot from lurking on this board for the past six months, but this is my first post.
