Fished in the ocean at Astoria ..started at around 75' of water and trolled to 250' , around 8 miles out of no. 10 I think ...one take down in first 45 minutes and then it broke loose with a 14' and 15' clipped coho ....then a BUNCH of jacks until our limit was filled with 8-10' fish ...Get this !!! I called ODFW from the boat and they confirmed that it is two fish outside but that I COULD NOT go inside of 10 for a third !!! Different from what I just read on another post !?!? Would have been nice to stop for a third although I did not see alot of nets flyng inside .....

I like to stretch it a little at times....like we all do....What does a 15' Coho look like? Any photos?

no , no photos , just a big thick fillet...it looked like a chinook in size ,big belly and fought like too ...I have only seen one that size before ...the other big one was caught right in the same small slick ...I am sure we will get clarification of the rules real soon ...otherwise we'll all need to hire lawyers to figure these rules out ...I heard somewhere that the feds control the ocean and so the regs are different out there ...

fished out in the big blue and buoy 10 today and was told the same thing. That we could NOT get two in the ocean and then one more inside of buoy 10. Seems pretty strange to me. By the way, today was the flattest I have seen the buoy 10 to buoy 2 section ever.
