Leaving for Alaska on Friday night and I just remembered I wanted to take some jigs for silver fishing. These fish are swimming around in huge schools in frog water and are easy to catch on spinners and bait but I'm thinking a jig under a bobber might be an interesting and effective alternative. Anybody try this and or have recommendations? Also, is there still time to buy on the web and receive by Friday or are the good ones also available at sporting goods stores? Thanks,
Chris

Salmonshark,
1/4 and 1/8oz in palmered marabou.. Colours? Well, the Alaskan Popcicle, all Cerise, and Black and Red are the ones that have worked well in the past.
If you want jigs by Friday, e-mail us,we can help if you want images/icons/smile.gif

Chris, you should try some jigs with Krystalflash in them for the silvers. Adding the flash to pink and white or bright blue and white marabou is working well on Vanc. Island silvers, and I would think up on the K-Pen too. And, shhhh, the ol' pink worm will entice them real well, especially on a chrome headed jig.
