Just got back from fishing with IFISH Guide David Johnson.

Non stop fishon action. Doubles, triples, fish jumping, fish biting right at the boat, fish biting while letting line out.

It was all David could do to keep bait on our lines and he did a great job.

I got sea sick towards the end. While I was hurling, David was baiting my line. I was about to tell him I was done, but as soon as he put the rod in the holder for me a fish nailed it. One last fish.

Everybody had a ball. Limited the boat by 10:00. Couple 10-11#ers.

Saw a 25&40# king at the smoke house.

I havent posted pics for awhile. Hosting site I was using is dead. If someone wants to post the pics email me and Ill email the pics.

Other than the green gills it sounds like a bodacious trip. Congrats on the catch. Where did you go out, I'll be trying Fri-Sun around Nehalem Bay and was wondering where you guys were rippin' lips.

Saw you're boatload of fish hit the dock as I was heading out just after 10 this morning. I was envious ... lots of very nice fish.

We fished out into the fog at the CR buoy ... a dozen or more solid take downs ... a seal hounding our gear and only one fish to the net in heavy, nasty seas. The early herring catches the coho, I guess!

Glad David showed you a good time!

Westport on Monday! Followed the charters out of port SW to 230 ft. at daylight. Slow bite with many 3-4lb. wild fish. Moved north 4 miles at 8 AM and found some larger Silvers, most natives. Returned to Port around 12:00 noon with 1 keeper Silver around 8lbs. Heard the same story at the gas pumps. Heading to Hammond on thursday.

Only reporting what I observed and that included the most small belly up floaters that I have ever seen.

I was under the impression that a small portion of the coast was closed to coho. Like 150 miles either side of Waldport?

If that's the case why are the charters taking coho?

Zigfish:

We launched out of Hammond. Fished herring.

12-22 pulls in 80-100'. Bite was best in warmer water 51 degrees. We were probably 2-3 miles past buoy 10.
