My father and I are going Saltwater Salmon fishing in British Columbia next week and we can't seem to agree and what a possesion limit is. The Regs' say "Daily limit 2, possesion limit 4, annual limit 30." What is the possesion limit? images/icons/confused.gif
TJR
Washington states rules are.
Possession limit;
The number of daily limits allowed to be kept in the feild,or in transit.
We can have 4 fish and 40 lbs of processed fish in our possession smoked,canned and I think frozen also counts.
Good luck on your trip and I hope this helps. RON (RKB) images/icons/smile.gif

most guides up that way will pack and ship fish for you, for an extra charge, i'm sure. if the guide doesn't do it, he can probably recommend someone who will. once they're 'in transit' they are no longer 'in your possession'. if you're interested in getting the most out of your trip and the fishing is good, it's a worthwhile option. just make sure to ship it to a good friend who won't eat it all before you get home. images/icons/grin.gif
Just came back from BC yesterday. The fishing is awesome, except for the facy that we could not retain Coho in the area we fished. The daily limit is two. The possesion is 8 fish total, only 4 can be Chinook. Don't be afraid to use flashers and dodgers for chinook, we did really well with the biggest at 31 lbs. Good luck and have a great time.
