Wouldn't we all be better anglers if we anticipated a strike every time we cast? The attention to the strike, the inhaling of bait or a gentle pickup would certainly be followed by an appropriate response if we could all but believe, upon every cast, this one would yield the desired result.

It is human nature, unfortunately, to fall into a routine of casting and retrieveing, thinking about the work left to do at home ot the leak in the left foot of that darned wader or what we said the other night at that cocktail party the might heve been inappropriate ... hey! There he is! D@mn, missed him ....
