We are planning on fishing either the mouth of the Lewis or the muth of the Cowlitz. Whats launches on the Oregon side of the river is closest to this rivers? Or is it easier to launch in WA. I know Gerheart Gardens on the Cow is just above the mouth. Whats the best launch for getting to the Lewis?

If you are fishing the Cowletz Rainer is the closes ramp. Its just a straight run accross the river to the mouth. Get there early not many places to park your trailer.

Willie,
Try this site. http://www.osmb.state.or.us/WhereBoat/WhereBoat.html
Click on the Washington State access guide. This is good info, and the best I have found.

There are a lot of ramps in the area, but many if not most are useless and/or damaging because of the low water. I can't remember the name of it, but the only one I'd use in the area is on the WA side and closest to the Cowlets.

There is a nice paved ramp right off I-5 in Kalama Wa.at the port of Kalama-360-673-2325.That's above the cowlitz and below the lewis.
