Can anyone give me a suggestion on a place to trout fish this weekend. have been thinking of trillium lake or maybe rock creek reservoir near wamic. I would like to bring my raft with my electric motor. can you have an electric at trillium or not? Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated on these lakes or other small lakes about 2 1/2 hours out of the Portland area. also I was going to camp out at the place I go to, so if you have any info on the campground (fires pits, facilities) it is appreciated. images/icons/cool.gif images/icons/cool.gif images/icons/cool.gif

Hey man,
Trillium is not bad. I was there 2 weeks ago over the weekend. we limited by noon each day. You need to get there about 6 am. We fished off the bank from the picnic table. There is a little fire pit there. Use power bait or worms. with about a 2 - 3 foot leader from the weight. We didn't see anyone catch with flys or spinners. only saw one boat pull in a fish while we were out. I don't think they allow electric motors. you may want to call the zigzag ranger station.
Camping: Well trillium grounds were completely full or reserved up by 3 friday afternoon. We got the last spot at still creek a mile away. there is a road that connects the two campgrounds. along there you can find some areas to camp also. They are free but no water or anything.

Adam, there is some really nice trout fishing in Devils lake. There is also a state campgrounds and a real nice place that is owned by the RV place right by the lake. If you want all the info email me. Cagey.

You might check out Thursdays Oregonian. The sports page. The ODFW posts whitch lakes they have stocked in the last week. This could mean limits for you.
