Combat fishing or Bumper boats it will beet a day at work. That is if you work inside all the time and do not even see the weather until lunch/dinner time.

Rags gave me a call in Utah and said that it was great fishing (limited before 10). They weren't fishing at 10. I think in closer. Pretty dirty trick to pull on a guy that is 850 miles away from the coast and some great coho fishing huh??? Oh well, hope to get over there for some of that action soon!!!!

Report for 10 at 9:00 am as we ran by with a limit from outside, 5 coho 1 chinook. Saw 2 fish on with about 75 to 100 boats. Ocean so flat I wish I had brought my knee board.

Jennie, You know my number, give me a call. Went out exploring today and came up short of a boat limit. Honestly we were looking for Chinookies and probably could have stayed up on the line and limited. Some very nice size silvers. 10 released, three of those had partial fin clip. Somebody should tell those finclippers how to do it. Had probably ten other hookups with long line releases. Took home 5 for 3. Some advice, use diver only, no flashers, no hoochies. 4 ft leader, whole or cut plug. images/icons/smile.gif images/icons/smile.gif Note: Fish the rips with the current.

Had a pretty good day out there. 3 of us fishing and five fin-clipped silvers boated. Began fishing about 7am and I had my limit before 9. The other two guys in the boat struggled with those long line releases. We had at least a half dozen or more throw the hooks and missed another 8 to 10 hits. We were one fish shy of a limited boat when we went in at noon.
Nice calm day with the silvers averaging around 8 to 9 pounds. Their guts were loaded with bait fish. I went with a diver and whole herring only. The other 2 rods were using flashers and weren't producing as well.
Anyone have any word on how they did on retirement beach? Noticed alot of rigs and poles when we came back in.

We ran out to the buoy around 10:00 and it was so nice we just kept going. 15 minutes later we were fishing in the flat ocean with a double on. I've never seen a hotter silver bite. We were fishing 4 rods but only had all 4 in the water once as we were too busy baiting and landing fish. Had 6 people on the boat - limited with 12 silvers in about 50 minutes all over 7 lbs. Plug cut or whole bait, didn't matter. Cought 2 of them right next to the boat looking at my bait to make sure it was spinning before I let it out! You could have fished the ocean in a skiff today. We saw about 4 fish on - all silvers when we ran by Buoy 10 and we saw 3 more on when we ran back in. Big diver, no flasher, and three hook solid tie mooching rig. Released a finned fish that looked to be 12-14 lbs.- really nice. I talked to several people who got limits of silvers in the river but it's still a little early to count on a Chinook. We also cought two silvers with partially clipped fins - we released them even though I think you would be o.k. keeping that fish. We only saw 2 other boats in the ocean during the hour we were out there.

I fished with Carmen Macdonald, Nick Amato and John Posey today and it was absolutely crazy, One fish after another. What a fun day, we caught them on literally everything!
Had to have hooked 100 fish easy between all of us. Had to pick through em though to get any sizeable ones. But it is all fun anyways.
A big thanks to those guys for the invite.
