swimbaits, spinnerbaits for night bite is fun, jigs on the docks can be good, rattle traps, speed traps have produced for me, Norman DD22, and anything like senkos etc will produce....frogs work too for the bigger fish.

You might try Konocti Harbor Resort and Marina on the south end. Or the Skylark Inn in Lakeport on the North end is good.

Is this the same Clear lake that I watch Roland Martin fish? He was on one episode with Dean Rojas tossing the spro frogs pulling big fish.

He was also on another episode with Ish Monroe pitchin creature baits and again boating big fish.

I want to make a trip out there someday.

Good luck to you Jade take lots of pics for us to drool over!:passout:

Jade,

It's a great lake for large catch and release fish; but I would not eat any fish in that lake. In the fifties and sixties the lake was rightly called Clear Lake, and the fish tasted great. The best tasting large and small mouth bass are in Lake Sonoma,Calif. The water is deep,cold/cool and very clear.
Try the Konocti Harbor Resort, they also have stage performances.
Good luck and have a great time.
Al :D

Jade, keep your rods and tackle in your vehicle, the last couple of years lots of speed freaks hang around the lake and your gear might wind up missing if your un lucky. Stuff has come up missing when stopping for a lunch break.
