Ought to be good this weekend

This should be a good weekend! My son and I are fishing the Bonneville pool Saturday in the camo green whaler. Man what a treat it will be if the weather man is right. Light east wind adding a little to the current, rather than pushing against it. We will fish the current breaks and flats. Can't wait! And no moon! Them smallies are calling us! Can't beat the Columbia R. this time of year. Might be bass, steelhead or Walleye. Man, we got it made here in the Northwest!

Hope you had a great trip. The Columbia looked great on my way back from the Snake on Sat. I was trying to talk the Girlfriend in to letting me pull over and fish somewhere along the way home. It did not work.

Well, this time the anticipation was better than the fishing. Probaly should have just fished for steelies at Drano, where that catch rate seems to have picked up. We had engine problems early, so we got started late. Seems like the C. River smallies are still in the late summer pattrrn w/ this high pressure, and fall feedinf frenzy is just one cold snap away.

I was wondering how it went. Wind forcast had me bagging walleye/salmon plans on the CR. So hit the willy and WOW, wind there too. Tourney going on too boot and conditions tough.
