Has any body fished here lately? heading there this coming weekend. It is my old stomping grounds , but I havent been back to fish it for years.

Fished there 3 weeks ago with kids on my buddies ski boat between inner tube runs. Worms on the bottem. Lots of catfish and a few small bass (in think small mouth) near the dam. Kids had a blast.

We fished bass and crappie the weekend of the Sept. 1st. Fished for about 4 hours and had decent results. Had one buddy out trout fishing and said they got a half dozen fish trolling rooster tails on the surface. Biggest was a nice fat 15" fish. It was 85 degrees and we both got on the water at 10 AM. That is far better results for trout than I would expect this time of year. He told me he had gone out one other time recently in the same conditions and had similar results.

I haven't fished there in quite some time, but when I have and the trout bite was not good, I would find a muddy cove and drop a worm to catch brown bullheads (most folks call them catfish).
