For those of you out there who use them what do you think? I've been thinking about picking one up just for fun when I'm out on a lake. Also what kind of set up's do you recommend with them?? Thanks!

They are a lot of fun. The only thing I don't like about them is that the reel seat is usually held in place by a sliding ring, rather than something that tightens down. That causes the reel to "wander" occasionally.

I especially like to use it to "troll" in a float tube. Tie on whatever fly pattern you like, and kick around until you catch something. Definitely not the conventional method of float tubing, but it is completely relaxing when the bite isn't hot anyway and you just want to enjoy being on the water.

I fish small mouth in the willy exclusivly with a tiny spin rod. I have landed some real pigs on it. I find that the tiny rods cast tiny luers and weightless bait the best. I use my ultra lite and cast weight less night crawlers-very effective when nothing else is working.
