Hello everyone.

I am thinking of fishing the clack sometime around the carver area sometime for trout. Need to check the regs I know but just curious
as to any guys or gals here at I fish have had any luck out that way for trout?

Any comments or advise would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Years ago the ODFW went "back to nature" an stopped stocking the Clackamas River. Your best bet would be to go above Estacada and fish Faraday Lake or North Fork Resivor. These were heavily stocked recently.
Check the regs if you do fish the Clackamas.

I miss fishing for stocked bows on the upper Clack. I understand why they stopped, but it doesn't make me miss it any less.

I'd hook an occasional steelie while fishing for trout. Would scare the heck outta me, as I'd see this silver bullet go screaming by me just before my line would snap. I'd always forget to loosen my drag after cinching it down to break off yet another rock snag. Ah well.
