TH, I never really get Vegas fever. I'm the guy at the $5 Blackjack table trying to drink freebies more than he loses before going off for some real jaw exercise on the $3.99 steak dinner. But the place does have a buzz, that is for certain.

When you're at the Pawn Shop pricing your wife's engagement ring, see if you can get me a Chronarch in good condition for under $100.

I knowwhy you are going down there Trav. You heard that there was an Elvis impersonator convention going on down there and you want to enter it.

"going to win" ... oh oh, hey 'Elvis' please mail me my rod before you leave for Vegas - just in case you can't afford any more 'blanks' when you get back. ...

jk Travis - have a good one!

I think RT's right -- what if you lose all your money? You'll end up zipped inside one of those bear costumes and staring in "The Edge II". (That in turn will prompt lawsuits from the animal trainers.)

PS "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter S Thompson makes a great airplane read on the way to town. Helps you get in touch with the mystique of Vegas. (That and the slots in the airport.)

Red, White And Blue slots have been good for me. Last time in Reno I won 1600 on 200. Hope you get lucky! images/icons/smile.gif

Thanks Travis. I will have a friend house sitting for us while we are in Central Oregon this coming week, so the UPS box will be picked up for me. Can't wait to get it! images/icons/smile.gif ..... Las Vegas has become a major mind blow, eh? Two summers ago my kids talked me into going on that roller coaster outside atop the 850 ft. high Stratosphere Tower. I had to ride on the outside seat looking right over the edge as that thing whipped around the top of that tower. And I even kept my dinner down after taking 2 rides - one at a time for my 2 kids. I will pass on that the next time images/icons/shocked.gif . The mini Ifle Tower at the new "Paris" resort at mid-strip was just short of being complete when we were there, so didn't get to go atop that one. Did you get the chance to go up in that thing? ... That is truely a fun family place to go now - with lots of Disney like theme parks for the kids too. And if you don't gamble much money I think it's a bargain because the prices of everything are a bit lower than other tourist places - so they can get you there to gamble away your money images/icons/grin.gif . Glad you had a good time TH. - Steve

LV is incredible.. it is huge..much like a little Disney Land,
The roller costers were a big hit with my wife.. the Stratisphere and New York New York are both very fast and crazy! I really didn't like either one.

Just a side note, the Rogue is starting to kick out so awesome numbers and huge fish...
