Looking for some opinions as to some quality tuna charters out of the Newport/Depoe Bay area. After contacting a few I am still undecided as to which to possibly book with.

Also, if any IFISH tuna slayers would like to take along a rookie tuna slayer I would be more than happy to contribute whatever funds necessary for fuel and miscellaneous. I have an extremely flexible schedule and a sea-worthy gut!
Thanks in advance for the info! images/icons/grin.gif

I've heard good things about Joan-e charters.

I use them for our company bottom fishing trip every year and we have a great time.

Last year they were averaging 70# of Tuna per person on their charters, however, this is fishing so your results may vary.

This is the first year I've heard of Tuna being caught this early. Maybe this is going to be a banner year.

Check them out and tell them Ray (the guy with the company trip on Aug. 8th)sent ya.
(I think they will still let ya go with them images/icons/wink.gif).

Hope ya have a great time!

Oops, They are having difficulties with the web page. Here is the phone number.
They are trying to get a trip put together for the 29th.

The Misty out of newport is a good boat to go out on. I am booking a trip with them this year. I think you can find them on the web if you do a search on Newport tradewinds. That should give you rates and some more info on them. Good luck
