Went out today from Depoe Bay with a few of my friends.

First hand report.

We went west looking for 62 degree water. According to the thermal charts we would find this at 22 miles out and the main line at 41 miles.

I'll give specific coordinates as soon as I get them from the GPS. Basically go due west from Depoe and look for the temperature change from 58 to 61. Blue water is good and this is where we found the fish.

'Puffin' scored first with a 6' long purpoise. It was grey and spotted, not sure what brand that is. The critter went straight down on hookset and took 300 yds. of line. Flipper was released unharmed after a killer fight. I can attest that Jon's tuna is dolphin safe.

'Pilar' answered with four hits and three hookups. This went on all morning and we left at 1 pm with 14 each.

Congratulations tuna fishers! I wish I would have been there, sounds like a blast.

Did flipper talk you like on TV?
