I just purchased an Okuma Epix efs30 using the ifish link. Ordering was simple...Verifications via e-mail were prompt...Shipping was on time...Reel was delivered today. The entire process took only 4 days. Now, I can't wait til tomorrow to try it out! What a great looking and smooooth reel. images/icons/grin.gif

You'll like these sweet little reels. I have one bought from the same place and love it.
Enjoy!

Fin, good choice on the EFS30, you will love the performance, I have been putting my Epix 30 through its paces the past few months and it is flawless so far, handles light line better than my Shimano, and that drag is so smooooooth. but, like all fine tools, keep it clean, remove the spool, and give it a rinse&wipe down. and always back the drag completely off when storing, this will let the drag washers expand, in a relaxed state, and will perform better and last longer.

Thank you very much!
We are about to lose our sponsor on ifish, and I am trying like mad to recover the income somehow.
If anyone knows someone who would like to banner this board, let me know, k?
Until then, if you use fishusa for your tackle, it sure will help cover the software and maintenance for this board!

I also use the Shimano Stradic and find it a little lighter than the Epix but since the Epix is half the cost I can put up with a few extra ounces. I use my Epix with my Loomis 1083 Spinning rod and find them to be a very good match. FishUSA.com is a great place to shop and most things ship for only $3.95. I recently ordered the wrong extra spool for my Okuma fly reel and they not only exchanged it but credited me the cost of shipping it back to them. A good place!

Stew --- Did you get the Epix large arbor fly reel? If so, how is it performing? I'm tired of putting out $300 for a decent fly reel for salmon.

Jack it's the Okuma Integrity for 7/8. Smoothest drag I've ever seen on a fly reel.

I was using my epix 30 yesterday Kokanee fishing, People will tell you how smooth the drag is, but I played around with it yesterday while trolling. I had a 4 ot flasher on and everytime it would flash the pole tip would make a small jerk. Kind of like watching a good plug work the pole tip. I backed off the drag until everytime the flasher would dodge the reel would click off just one click of line. I must have been bored because I watched the reel do a full circle without so much as hanging up on one spot. The drag is so smooth the line would only come of when the flasher would dodge. It was a fairly constant click, click, click. It has to be the best drag I have ever owned far and away.

These reels are a bargain for the buck.

If you buy them here, at Fishusa (http://www.fishusa.com/Affiliates/affiliatewiz.asp?BannerID=28&AffiliateID=51&Task=Click), it helps Ifish.
Hint hint!
