Fished the outgoing tide below "33" today. About 5 boats...saw 7 fish landed...2 in our boat....on K-10 Kwikfish. One was a chinook jack, the other a non-clipped steelie. Saw one other chinook landed. Seemed about 20' was the ticket. images/icons/grin.gif

Stopped yesterday at Columbia River RV Park in Woodland to check it and the fishing out. Great place for plunkers. They caught about 17 the day before. Didn't find out what and how many were keepers, but that isn't too bad considering there were about 25 fishing. I am going to go up there in a couple of weeks to get away for a few days during the week and will try the plunking. If I make it, I will send a report on it. images/icons/tongue.gif

Great Steelie Day Today!
Anchored South of the Park at 3:10 p.m. today. Landed 1st keeper at 3:40 p.m., 2nd at 5:45 p.m. and the last one spit the hook after a heck of a fight at 6:30 p.m.
Had a friend from Massachusetts with me. These were the 1st steelhead he had caught! We had a great time.
Those X-4 red flatfish are great. All three on these.

Hawgcatcher, if you can, try to get a spot on the rounded point that sticks out into the water to the left of the shack. That's where most of the fish are usually caught. However, there are about 5 people (I think they live in the RV park) that arrive there at about 3:00 a.m., shove 15 pole holders in (for their later arriving friends/family) and fish all day. They're there every day and think they own the beach. images/icons/mad.gif images/icons/mad.gif
