Jetty fishing question

Can you fish off the N. jetty with a Oregon licence since it's on the Wahington side? Also is the out going or incoming tide better. Thanks

Sure you can fish with an Oregon fishing liscence but, in that case, you must also posess a Washington fishing liscense. Incomming tide is always best and the high slack is well worth the wait.

Are you fishing for salmon or just bottom fish? We always do good on the south jetty at newport, on the oceanside. Caught a 2 1/2 foot ling there on saturday using sand shrimp, incoming to high tide.
