Well thinking of sneeking out Sat or Sunday.
Any of my fellow IFish brethren game for a 1/2 day fish close to PDX???
Call the house, I'm going offline.

A handful of bass and a couple PM's, but no eyes. Not sure what went wrong.

Only one other boat out. Pretty windy, but fought through it. Water temp 69.9F. Clarity very good, ~6ft. Big moon at night, mostly sunny during the day. Not exactly the best moon phase IMO.

Left the Crestliner at home to see how the sled would handle the big mid day waves. It did fine, but only got 4ft wave... not the big 6's. With the new graph installed on the sled (LMS330c), I marked lots of fish on the bottom in the normal spots. Were they eye's?.. probably, least they have been in the past.

Ran 1oz walker, 6' leader to Chartreuse worm harness. (my normal rig) Probably should've ran some orange & red for a while to. Wasted a lot of time pulling cranks back upstream. I've yet to catch and eye on a crank and it's becoming a focused mission. Did catch a some good bass. Didn't matter whether it was a big "Craw" Norman, a "Fire Tiger" Hot-Lips or a Chrome Blueback Thunderstick.

I caught more bass than I normally do. I found that statistically interesting. And the normal ****** by the peamouth's in the normal spots. All seemed normal except the catching. Forgot to check the tourney schedule....perhaps the Fall Classic cleaned them out. (well a quick check of My LCWC Newsletter shows the Camas Tourney was Aug 4-5th.....well 20 days should be enough time for them to move back in.)

Well no excuses then, cept the moon. Eye's beat me this time.
No moon should be around Labor Day.
