Kids and I caught three stocker trout Sunday at North Fork Res,. As I was cleaning the smallest (9-10 inch) I noticed the back half of the fish was really thin. More so than usual. I also noticed that in his stomach was a large glob of orange power bait. It has long been my understanding that stomach acids disolve stomach contents rather quickly. It made me wonder if Power Bait is n exception to this? I was a bit spooked by the overall look of this fish but ended up my stomach overruled logic and I ate it anyway. Has anyone else seen power bait seemingly stuck in the digestive track like this? Just curious.

As soft and mushy as that stuff is I wouldn't be too concerned. This year my brother caught around an 8-9 inch trout that had about a number 8 hook pooped out and still had the swivel out the mouth. We cut the line and pulled it out and I think it lived. I think that they can push some pretty big stuff through their system. Hopefully someone with some better understanding will give us a better answer.
