so me and a couple buddies just recently got into the bass scene, and we have been down to rock island(right off of 99 in oregon city) but never caught anything yet:crazy:. i was hoping some of you experienced bass fishers could give some pointers on where to go and how to fish it. and help would be greatly appreciated:help:

Get out to the main river channel, you can definetly catch some bass off the bank there. Before I had a boat I made the hike in there from time to time, and it can be productive. Like all bank fishing, keep moving and switching it up until you find out where they are and what they are biting. You may have to do some wading to get to some more productive spots, but that can be nice on a hot summer day anyway.
Number one thing to remember is find current, you may pick up some fish in the slack water in the sloughs, but the majority of the fish will be sitting in some sort of current break....
