For the few issues I've had they couldn't be better. Well maybe if they picked up and dropped off my boat when it's finished.

I'm on my second NR and never had any warranty problems that needed to be fixed. I know others have had issues, but they seem to get good service to get them resolved. I send my boat to NR for annual service and they do a great job there too. I'd seriuosly consider buying number 3 from them.

good to know. They are giving me good service now, but i have not dropped the big $$$ yet.

After the sale service is a big deal to me especially with this kind of money involved. the boats are all over the place, so its probably for a reason.

just taking a survey to make sure that it wasnt just the guides that got the good treatment. So far, everyone is positive!

I should be the poster boy for this thread.

I had more issues than the average Joe. Bad rigging, pin hole leaks in a weld, leaks from the trim tabs, couple of cracked offshore brackets, gas cap that leaked water cause Attwood gas caps are not waterproof (says so on their website). They took care of me and made everything right and in the end, that is what counts. It wasn't an overnight ordeal but it was done. I have a hydraluic leak on one of my seals in the cylinder in the back (second time in a year that has happened) and have no worries it will get fixed.

I think the customer service/warranty service is great and is actually getting better. Upon purchase.... put some hours on your boat and if need be, make a list of things that are not right. Make sure you try and do it all in one shot to avoid drives back and fourth. I know alot of people without issues at all so I wouldn't worry.

Getting feedback sometimes isn't a fair representation of what your looking for. People that feel they got treated unfair will have nothing nice to say, people that were treated right will stand behind his/her boat. Kinda like starting a thread about.... what are your issues with X brand of boat.

I can honestly say the service end has gotten way better and I sleep better at night knowing if the need ever was to arise, they got my back.

Even if Scott doesn't like me:jester:

NR service after the fact has been fantastic. I've had my issues (minor in comparison to TB) as well with my boat and Portland Performance Marine and NorthRiver have both stepped up and made sure everything was corrected. No fuss, no BS, just great customer service.

I'd buy another boat from them just because of how well my issues have been addressed and the customer service I've received.

I have a NR and have had no problems(knock on wood) to have them fix.
BUT a friend of mine bought a NR on consignment from them with a 175hp sportjet. Never heard of this before but the drive shaft sheared between the motor and jet. He does not have anything good to say about NR. He had a h$&@ of a time getting it going. Apparantly NR and Merc. had a falling out and they don't speak to eack other and he's caught in the middle. He's up and going now but it got ugly.

Yeah, they kinda stopped making boats with sportjets in a quick hurry.........that story explains alot.

Thanks gang for your input here.. tHIS IS GOOD ADVICE! Sounds like everyone is positive. Im not nieve to think i will never have some minor issues, however, after the sale service is reassuring that the buyer made the right choice.
