Is the Bay ever open for silvers? Seems to be alot of them being caught right now at Barview off the jetty. Ive heard of many and I hooked one there last week on 4lb test line while useing sand shrimp for seabass it was alot of fun till it broke off. I wasnt sure what it was till it finally came to the surface to laugh at me and say HA HA you cant keep me!! I just wish it was open to keep em. I dont really understand why its not. Any comments? images/icons/confused.gif

Yes, it is open some of the time.

For the first time in years it will be open for coho between the jetties. It opens September 1st there.

Up stream of Kinchaloe Point it opens August first.

There should be some pretty good fishing going on this fall, there expecting a great run up the Trask.

Fin Clip only rules are in effect.
