O.K...the day started out to what should have been a Washougal report....but there was no flow there...and three hours to hi tide so we drove the boat onto the trailer and headed to Frenchman's Bar. We launched at Caterpillar Island on the Washington side of the river. We anchored up in 14 feet of water...put out some orange K-10 Kwikfish...and clobbered one 10 lb. hatchery steelie. Didn't see any other fish caught. Maybe 3 boats in my area fishing.

Good move....I stuck it out below the mouth of the Sandy and finally caught a 8-9 pounder about 12:30 when the water was moving better. Had all the fins so he is still out there!
I have caught nothing but finned fish above Gov't Isle....and only clipped ones from Frenchmans bar down river...Go figure!

Your the Man FM, I'm surprised it wasn't on a flash glo! Nothing for us today. Fished upper Govt Isle 8:30 to noon for Steelies (after an hour wait for current), then went for the Walleye at Washougal, ended up with a couple Small Mouth and that was it.
SG, we took out right in front of you today in a white Spectrum. I didn't notice your boat name until we were driving by you or I would have said Hi. Next time I guess.

FM, passed ya about 2pm-ish.
I was above you about 300 yds and trolled
back to the ramp.
You're right, I didn't see a fish above the
water all day. I tried flash glo's, K4's & 5's, plugs, tons of smolts going down.
Didn't see the bankies with fish either.
I moved from 12 ft to 25 ft and in between.

I've been camping in the Vancouver Inlet (Frenchman's bar area) for the last four days. Saw very few boats out there and no fish taken. Tried myself on three outgoing tides; marked a few fish but nothing much.... so nailed a keeper sturgeon on the other side of the river instead.
