Anybody fish out of Tillamook Bay today?? Heading out tommorrow AM (5:00)with my best buddy and could use some tips as to where to look for the fish. I know the follow the charter boat/guide boat trick, but still am curious where the bite has been. Rippin' outgoing in the early AM, how has the bar been?? Of course we'll look first, but we are hoping to cross before low slack (8:30 tommorrow) in a 21 ft open Supervee. Should we sleep in till tide change? Any help wopuld be appreciated!

The bar should be rough in the am with an outgoing tide. Checked the buoy reports, tonights and tomorrows forcast and it doesn't look good. Winds are expected to stay at 20 knots, build to 25 knots and there is a small craft advisory issued by the National weather service along the Oregon coast. I'm not sure if that means the bar is closed to small craft since I believe the coast guard makes that decission.

Brother and friend crossed at Newport yesterday. At the second can they decided it was to rough to fish and came back in. Other boats did the same. Not much has changed from yesterday.

I've changed my plans waiting for better conditions.

be safe,
