whether there are tons of fish or not is not going to change the QUOTA - - Sun.-Thurs is the usual move to prolong the season.

Let those fishies fatten up 'til I can catch them in the river in about 6 weeks!

So here is mindless _itching, but why not open the season 7 days a week in Astoria-Ilwaco?

Every report I have seen does not anticipate sportsanglers meeting the Astoria quota, yet the Mid-Oregon coast quota will be met in mid-late July? Why not close it down there two days a week, (to extend the season)and keep it open 7 days up here to allow sportsanglers greater access to the abundance of quota in Ilwaco and Astoria? Sportsanglers are the only group who routinely do not meet their allocation/quota. Have you ever heard of a commercial allocation not being met? No!!. The fact of the matter is that commercial (including the tribes), are far more efficient at catching fish, YET ODFW and WDFW feel it appropriate that sports anglers should be limited to 5 days a week, even when our quota will likely go unmet. Are we saving these fish for the fall commercial net season? This commercial net fishery will measure the catch in the hundreds of thousands of fish? Just venting.

Sorry brother. Oregon and Washington have limited the days to Sunday through Thursday only. Closed Fri and Sat. Limits are either 2 Coho or 1 Coho and 1 Chinook. Neither the limits or the days to fish make sense because there are tons of fish to be caught. It is just to easy.!
