A good friend of mine is taking his family to Wallowa Lake next week. He isn't pulling his boat. He's bringing his pontoon boat and will rent a boat to get the kids out for a day or two. He'll have fly gear as well as conventional.
Any hot tips or ideas?
BTW - He is a member, he's just busy at work and.........I'm not:grin:

There have been some Wallowa posts over the last couple of months.
Do a search or look through the next 2 to 4 pages of posts.

We were there a month ago without a boat and caught several Rainbows (10"-14") where the river dumps into the lake. All caught on Pautzkies. watched a guy catch a few on flies as well. Spinners, worms, powerbait no go.

Give the marina a call. They are real good about giving up any info that they know.

Just read in the paper a couple of days ago about a doe attacking two elderly people at the park..
Again a caution, don't feed the cute little bambi's....
I believe the folks were just out for a walk and got too close to the doe with a fawn..
