Help!! My 25 hp merc ob wont run at trolling speed. After running at middle to high speed and I turn down the throttle to idle the motor will die. I then have to use the choke to restart and get up to speed. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks boereguard.

Sounds like the low speed jet is clogged, or idle set too low (if applicable). Wouldn't hurt to take apart the carb and make sure everything is clean.

mattpark, thanks for the advice about the merc. I'm fairly mechanicaly inclined when it comes to motorcycles and vehicles but outboards look greek to me. Well got to learn something new. Thanks again.
