I lost a bearing on my trailer a few days ago. ( and the hub)
I have the generic auto parts store type Bearing buddies. Not the true bearing buddies brand. I got to checking the others and they all have rust and water in them. I packed these with grease last year when I checked them and put these new hub caps on. And I have been very careful to make sure they got grease when needed. Caps all had tension against the springs.
My question is this, has anyone else had a bad experience with cheaper hub caps like this?
Should I go back to Real BB? If so is there one model better than another. Or is there something better out there. Besides an oil bath hub.
If anyone has any help to offer, please let me know.
Loosing bearings is expensive and a hassel.
