We were planing to go to Odell this weekend but the algae changed that. I've never fished Crescent before. Is it a goto spot?
Thanks.

The bite on Cresent is kinda slow right now..just came back from there on sunday.
Cresent Lake can be very good and the fish do tend to be bigger.
Went to Merwin today...it was quite good.

We came out of Spilyea and turned right went about 1/2 mile and fished the south side...we stayed in 90-105' of water.
Trolled between 45'-60' on the downriggers using ford fenders with a 3' leader and a green/red wedding ring.
Also had a cowbell with the same leader and lure setup....
I fish a double hook setup with 2 #red Gamakatsu's...tie one on and then tie another 1/2 inch above it...bait the top hook with a berkley pink or red trout egg...then add a Mikes Shrimp egg and follow with a kernel of corn.
Kokanee cocktail...I normally use more than that but that is what worked well yesterday.
Good luck...
