So Im crusing Ebay at boat motors. I notice one ad lists a pair of yamaha 250's. In the ad the seller lists one as standard rotation, and one is reverse. Is the reverse so that the boat will not pull to one side if both motors are standard rotation??? Does the standard and reverse match help the boat to better track straight???

thx

Yes, with twins you wans one standard, and one counter rotating. They equalize the torque steer from each motor.
