Any suggestions? We've fished Timothy, Odell, Triangle and Loon with decent success in past years but now that we live in Portland I feel a bit lost. I know I could pull the boat to one of the old haunts but I'm sure there is a closer spot where we should be able to get fish in the boat. I have kids now and they are just now starting to show interest :yay:. Little help guys, please

Detroit is not too far. There are tons of suicidal planter trout if kokanee fishing is slow. The kokanee fishing should be good though. In my experience, this is a perfect place for kids- good docks, bathrooms, lots going on. The kokanee don't seem to care if there are pleasure boaters tearing up the lake. I've had some great success fishing 60ft down while speed boats rip by.

Try Merwin or Yale here in Washington....north of Battle Ground about 30 miles ....kokes are a little larger in Merwin then Yale...but Yale seems to produce the most action....and wind ! but those the only Kokanne lakes nearby that I fish.

Good Luck

I would hit Green Peter. The fish are biting and are of good size.

Try Suttle -- beautiful lake, walking trail or mt bike trail around the lake, super campgrounds, and the fish are really hitting. And there are lots of them. Good luck!
