ok I went and got this motor from a guy off of craigslist. I brought it home and took it apart like a person told me to do and checked for the fuel shut off valve, there was none. Then he told me to check for spark. I took the spark plugs out and one of them had a little rust on the electrode but the other one was fine. I pulled the rope whle my son held the plugs close to the case. No spark!. Figuring that the plugs were bad, I went in and got 2 brand new car spark plugs and plugged them into the wires. I tried again, no spark. hmmmm. But while I pulled the second time I heard a metallic pop and no the rope wont go back in by itself. Are these things just like lawnmowers? Do you have to reset the spring and wind it up before you put the rope on it?
