I have a Lowrance X97 that is mounted infront of my steering wheel. I want to keep a hookup there but also want another location at the rear where my kicker is. I have 19' Northriver Sportster with an inboard.

Do I need to buy a new transducer, and all that in order to do this or is there sometype of splitter or something of that nature so i can use the same transducer and speed dial that is already on my boat and just run new cables mounting bracket of the new location?

Thanks for any help.

I don't know of any splitters but most brands sell cable extensions ... Could be that you can plug into existing and run it near the kicker ... but your best bet would be an additional transducer for the aft location with a disconnect bracket since you'll need power to it also:twocents::wave: Barney

You have two options:
1) Buy the lowrance selector switch (and cables) which will allow you to run two units off of one transducer (only one at a time). If fisherman's doesn't have it then Rodgers should. Look on LEI's website.
2) Run a second transducer. Reduntancy is always good on a boat & can have one with a DF ducer & one without. Can run both at the same time this way.

I used extension cables and a RAM mount. I can plug in the extension cables move the head to the other RAM mount and were up and running.
