6hp Merc

I have a chance to get a 6hp Merc. (06 or 07), with about 100hrs. on it for $900. He's a friend I've known for a long time. I'm just wondering if the price is right and if there are any known issues with them?

I just bought a Merc 9.9 4 stroke from a Merc dealer in Medford this last weekend. He had a few 6 horse motors there. The manual start long shaft was about $1650.00 I would say $900.00 for an 06 or 07 would be a very good price !
