I ran Yamalube in my 2 strokes but found I liked both Pennzoil synthetic and Amsoil better.

I liked the Pennzoil, but it was kinda hard to find. I bought some Amsoil at Joes and I liked as well.

Both smoked less and the little smoke there was wasn't as nasty smelling as the Yamalube.

What does yamaha tell you to run in the manual?

If your warranty period expired?

If so, run whatever you want. If not, maybe the CYA effects of Yamaha products might be worth the price of admission.

I run Yamalube....in my V250......no complaints other than I wiped out 3 sparkplugs a few weeks ago.

I really don't notice a foul smell like some of you ? Maybe my sniffer dosent sniff as good as yours.

I would like to know more about other oils....pros and cons.

Run any good grade oil, but more important run Ring Free along with it.

You can go to the NMMA website and see who makes what oil. It doesn't look like the Super Tech comes from the same place Yamalube does.
