Drano first timer

Hi, I am interested in trying Drano Lake this year but have never fished for steelies in still water.

Could someone provide me with the basic setup and technique? Sinktips? Nymphs of regular steelhead flys. Do you cat and wait or retrieve?

Seems like it might be fun to try on a fly!
