I made the first 'official' trip to the Deschutes this morning and wasn't disapointed. I hooked two fish in three casts, one wild fish full of spunk that made it to the bank and the other threw my lure back at me. It was great, especially considering that I had what seemed like the entire river to myself and it is still June!
The water is low - September like low - boaters beware.
