Thought I would post a report for you Oregonians in-between seasons.

I went down to the Cow last night around 8:45p and stayed til 9:15p. I fished below Blue Creek. As soon as the sleds got off the water (ripping and tearing @ss like they know how), the bite came on.

6 guys = 10 fish hooked, 6 landed. All chrome. Many things worked: shrimp, eggs, corkie and yarn, and straight corkie. Nothing really big as they all were cookie cutter 8 pounders.

How do you get to this location from Longview??

Take I-5 North to Exit 68 (Hwy 12). Go East on Highway 12. You'll see Spiffy's on your right if you are going in the right direction and a KOA. Keep proceeding down HWY 12 until you come to Tucker Road, Take a Right. As you go down Tucker, it will try to curve to the right, Go Straight (You'll see the brown sign on the telephone pole telling you to go straight). You'll dead-end into Spencer Road; hang a left. You'll see Andy's Boat Storage on your right and you'll start going downhill. You'll cross a small bridge and a road will be on your right. Take this road and follow the road through the parking lot by the river. Go all the way to the end of the gravel parking lot. You'll see the trails people take. You'll actually have to cross the creek itself to get to where everyone is fishing. It's not hard to find at all. Hopefully these are detailed enough directions.
