Down at the local Albany GI Joes last night. The herring are here, green and red label. Thaw the night before and place in brine for best results. Of course, freshly thawed without brinning will catch fish too.
I just don't think silvers are a really picky fish, they strike at almost anything when motivated and conditions are right. Fortunately for us, almost everyday see's some hard bitting silvers.
