OK, here is the scoop: I am looking for someone who needs a few extra bucks, and knows about PVC lawn irrigation pipe repair. My yard sprinkler system has sprung a leak directly and immediately downstream from the backflow device. It is accessible by one of the access hatches. It may be possible to repair the leak without digging, but I have my doubts. I'm thinking there may need to be a few feet of earth dug up to get better access.

The leak is right at one of the joints, where the 1" PVC attaches to the backflow device. The backflow device is not the culprit, it is definitely one of the joints (I can see the purple PVC glue where the leak is).

I am gone quite a bit, and quite honestly, would rather pay someone to fix it. My home is in Scappoose. This would only take a few hours for someone who has prior experience with lawn irrigation systems.

If somebody wants to make a more of it, I will pay additional if they want to re-align all my sprinkler heads and make sure the system is up to snuff. My lawn is dying quickly- and while I don't miss the mowing part, it looks terrible and I want it done.

Please PM if you are interested.

Like I said earlier- I can't imagine it taking more than a few hours of digging and repairing.

The pics below show the problem. Red shows where the leak is, and also show the downstream pipe.

If one of your guys can get this system up and running like its supposed to, and get it fine-tuned, I'll fork over $150.00. I'd bet it can be done in less than four hours, so that works out to $37.50/hr.

PM me if interested.

I talked with the 2 guys I would trust to come out there. neither one has the extra time sorry. it would have to be dug up, not much just enough to get past the T by about 12" and then remove the T. and replace it with slip fittings. I hope all goes well, sorry I cant get out there myself.
