My friends and family... My best guy friend Lonny told me some not so good news today. He found out his Mom has cancer and its agressive. It started in her Uterus and its alerady in her lungs and in her spine. They say that if they don't start radiation now, she may only have 6 months. Lonny's sister lead His mom to Christ yesterday so that's some positive news but his Dad is still not a christian. His dad is taking this very hard as is his family. Please pray for them. Pray that if its his moms time to go its painless and she will be at peace. Pray for the family that they will be at peace and to remember the life and the times they spent together with eachother. This is hard for my friend and so he's been talking and crying to me. I'll keep you up to date.

Thank you.

This situation is similar to the one our family went through recently...which came to good resolution through the grace of our Lord of Mercies.

Lonny (and family) will need much support through prayer, as well as the comfort and encouragement of their closest friends, like you Janice.

Praying that Lonny will continue to focus upon the direction that the Holy Spirit will lead him in for strength and wisdom at this time. God will richly bless his sister for her witness to their mom, he must stay close to her through conversation and mutual prayer.

Praying that his mom suffers minimal pain during her struggle. We prayed daily upon this for Dad. With modern medicine there is absolutely no reason that she should be in physical discomfort. Dad's prostrate cancer had spread to his kidneys, bladder, lungs, and bones, before he went quietly in his sleep to join his Savior. It can be done. His mom must be able to focus on family, friends, and most of all Christ, at this time.

If Lonny's mom is in a hospital that has a chaplain, a visit to her room for daily prayer will give her great comfort. If family and friends can join in for group prayer so much the better. My dad spent his last three weeks in St. Josephs Catholic Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. I'll be forever indebted to them for the prayer, comfort and peace their staff shared with him when I couldn't be there. :hearton:

Most importantly this family needs prayer, prayer, and more prayer. If you would like our church to raise them up this Sunday, please send a pm. It would be a great privilege for us but it requires an Okay.

Blessings, Dullhook.

Tell Lonny I will pray for him and Daniel will also. We will pray that his mom's acceptance of the Lord in her life will shine and his Dad will listen to the Lord. That Lonny can be there when ever he can do comfort, strengthen, pray for and everything else I can not mention because it is late. Also I pray for you that God would use you in Lonny's life as someone he can turn to when he feels he can not handle it any more. Lift him up with your words. Spend time with his Mom if you can and pray with her if you can. Lonny and his Family needs Prayer, physical presance and knowing other's are praying for him and his Family.

I think Lonny is such a wonderful person. Bless him and his Family Janice.
