I'm a dummy. :(

I'm on coumadin, and I've been going crazy, eating berries and fresh greens. Well, what do you know, for some reason, my INR (blood level, how thin/thick it is) is really thin! I don't know why, cuz I've been eating lots of greens, which would seem to make it thin.

Anyhow, took my INR yesterday and it was over 4.0. :( That's way too thin! I could bleed out, just with a little cut. Well, not totally, but you know... also, you can bleed in your brain, etc. It's not good.

So, when that happens, I'm supposed to eat more greens, and NOT take coumadin that night. I'm supposed to call the doc, but I know the game, now, so I thought I'd just do it on my own.

DUH. I ate the greens, but when it came to pill time, I just emptied out Saturday night's from the pill pack and swallered 'um down. Coumadin and all. :(

DUH. I was supposed to NOT take coumadin.

So... Right now, I am going in to test my blood. PLEASE, PLEASE PLease... I'm asking for a miracle. I hope my INR is back in the 2.0 to 3.0 range. I don't know how it could be, unless it is indeed a miracle.

OK, I'm going to wait five minutes, just in case anyone can pray for me, and then go take it. I'll pray, too.

Please don't do anythig that raises your blood presure at all, do everythig with much care so you don't turn into one big bruise.

She is doing much better. pretty much back to normal. She'll probably post when she gets home tonight if she isn't too exhausted. Please pray she gets home from Portland okay tonight. It's been a long day of travel and she is heading into the rain. I'm hoping she will change her mind and stay over in Portland tonight, but I understand wanting to get home too.

I'm just a dork. Believe it or not, I did dumb again. :) :laugh:

I took my morning meds and night and my night in the morning. Duh!

Anyhow, I don't think I will ever be OK until I get to Heaven! :laugh:

But, thank you for your prayers. I'm learning to trust in Him. That's my biggest challenge and my largest victory!

Jen that is scary but all of us with large medication regiment have done the same thing.

I have taken my night pills and forgot that I had and taken my morning pills a half hour later. What a dummy I am.
