I took a look at this forum for the first time tonight. I just want to say that I have read many of your prayer requests (with tears in my eyes) and will keep you all in my prayers. Sometimes we get so involved with our hobbies and what we do to make us happy, ie. fishing, that we miss what is actually important in life. This forum has been a reality check for me and made me realize what needs to come first. I told myself tonight that when ever I log on to iFish, this will be the first forum that I come to. I will give any and all of you my prayers in what ever trials and tribulations you may be having. Once this is done I will then browse the other forums. I want to thank you all for making this a place where we can go to ask for prayers and support.

God Bless & of course tight lines,
Jeremy

First thing I hit on ifish in the am. Part of my daily prayer life. Its a good move and will make your ifish experience much deeper and the people more like family.
Welcome!

The sweet thing about spending time first thing in the morning with the Lord in prayer is it definitly makes my day better...if I miss a few mornings of doing it...I seem to be off balance..."seek first the kingdom God and all the rest will be given unto you."...welcome to the forum...In HIS grace:pray:

It's always good to greet a person with an unselfish attitude like yours. Welcome Jeremy!

I will tell you that there are some wonderful prayer warriors who frequent this chapel who have supported my family and countless others during some difficult times. What a blessing they have been to us! :hearton:

Like many I want to give you a warm welcome to Anglers Chapel:smile::smile::smile:
I don't read Ifish in the morning but Anglers chapel is the first place I come to when I log on every evening during the week when I get home from work. On the week ends I come here in the morning and 2 or 3 times a day, after AC I browse other forums here on Ifish.
These men and gals here on AC are like Family to this old man. Three of them are really family two daughters and a soninlaw.
What makes this place realy rock is after you meet these wonderful people in person.

So once again WELCOME.

Hobbies and such, heck.....I have a version of the popular illness ADD, but mine is called APD. It keeps me from utilizing and realizing the abundant gifts our Farther bestows on us....CONSTANTLY. I heard, rumor you know, that a cure exist.....amazing what science can heal by a pill. But....this remedy comes not in a pill, but a book. The Bible. The Word of God. Taken daily, the bigger the dose, the better the cure. Oh....excuse my poor manners. You must be wondering of my affliction APD, and just what in the heck it is. APD stands for "Attention Prayer Deficit". Seems the symptoms are an ungrateful heart, short memory, and a major helping of selfishness.....for how readily I forget the Lord's blessings upon me and move to my "Yeah Lord....but now I need this, prayer" to be really happy :passout:

I guess that is why the Lord put the love of fishing in my heart. You know, you look with much hope and anticipation, to wetting a line, with dreams of catching that toad, so I can come here and brag......

Seems I'll be spending the rest of my life on trying to land the "big one" into the Lord's net.......ME. But oh, not such a more worthy quest exist in this world of flesh.

Looking forward to the angling skills of another afflicted member, as our Guide gently nudges us to practise His presentation.....

Hi there! :) This is a great place. Interesting... sometimes when I am away from the chapel for days at a time, I think, "What is going wrong in my life? Why am I unhappy?"

It's because I haven't started the day in prayer, or haven't visited the Angler's chapel and prayed for all of my friends, lately.

Once I start in again, everything gets better, and stays that way, until again... I fall off the wagon and things cycle into a negative, again.

God keeps nudging me.... all the time! I'm glad he doesn't ever give up on me when I'm "too busy!"
