I participate in various message boards besides ifish, mostly financial and stock related threads. These are run and moderated by companies such as Yahoo, Raging Bull, Motley Fool, etc...

Here's what I've learned over the last few years - those large companies have their hands full trying to moderate and run their boards, and they have many, many people working for them. From what I've seen many of Yahoo's message boards have turned into nothing more than sewer material. They've just given up.

So here we are at ifish. Started by Jennie, with help from a few individuals that are trying to do all they can to make this a civil place. Maybe I'm wrong, but if the people who post here can't be civil in their posts and abide by the rules, this board will become a thing of the past. That would be a shame. If the big companies have trouble keeping things civil, how is Jennie supposed to do it? At what point is it no longer worth her time?

I'll admit there are things that have irritated me, but I rarely post my thoughts. I'm a guest here, and don't have to participate if I don't like it.

I guess my point is, lets keep this thing positive and less labor intensive for the folks that are here to keep things going in a straight line. We don't always have to agree, but lets keep our disagreements civil and rational.

Ok, I'll get off my soapbox. If any mods want to correct me, feel free. If anybody else wants to flame me, please do it by email at- ur451@hotmail.com

Sadly, there are those in life that can never just take the good in things and enjoy.
