separate area just for fishing reports

hey folks, how's this for an idea: a separate area on this board with one topic listing for each river where basic fishing reports go? no pics, no long stories, just "i went to XXX and caught ### using ***." the columbia is so big it might need to be broken down into smaller more manageable sections.

sometimes i want to hit the board for a quick report on the way out the door in the morning or right before bed the night before. i end up having to sift through fifty or so message threads to get the latest on my chosen destination.

That's an idea, but then the sponges wouldn't be coerced into joining in on the board topics, unless we can set it up where they have to register to even view the reports. images/icons/rolleyes.gif

I say, we also set up the discussion forum the same way. If they choose not to join in, at least the registered member #'s go up and that'll make the sponsors happy, who in turn make Jennie happy....or is it the other way around??? images/icons/tongue.gif

You can do a find on a webpage that's open in your browser window with your browser's find command. That way you can search a web page for a specific word like "tillamook" or "sturgeon".

wouldnt it be cool if you could have a 'give a report to get a report' feature?

Maybe have users register to get the reports - have to post every so often to stay active.

we fisherman are always looking more info.....

Not to put a damper on your idea but it is not that tough to scroll through the posts and read the ones you want. Adding another feature would detract from the daily posts and ongoing topics. Just my 2 cents.
