You will remember my friend, Bad Bank Bankie. He was only a one finger typist so did not post on ifish.
He was the one with the Fishrite that had all the problems and I helped him with his story on ifish. Was borderline ugly yet got results and his boat was fixed.
We have been friends for 25 years. Many many fishing trips and poker trips. In fact last week we went to Spirit Mountain Casino for two days and one night of poker. Had a room at the lodge and had a great time.
He died in his sleep Sunday morning and was discovered by his son at 3pm and his son called me at 3:30pm. I went to Claskanie Sunday night to be with the family. I spent Yesterday in support of the family, making arrangements
Mike Ricker was 56 years old.
I ask for prayers for the family, as you can imagine they are broke up over this.
He leaves two daughters, a son and 8 grandchildren. I think it was 8 but may have been seven grandchildren. His daughter in SC will not be able to come here for a private service yet we still hope she will be here to join us in the service.
He and his ashes will once again be in the mountains he loved to hunt and the Columbia River which was his favorite fishing hole.
I still can not believe it. I talked to my friend a couple times a week if not more and we were planning some fishing trips and a poker trip up north.
Mike was a grumpy old man that had a heart of pure gold. :hearton: He loved his family and I will miss him.
Pray for the family as they go forward without there dad and grandpa.:pray::pray::pray:
Thank you.
