Hello everyone!
I just got my brother into bass fishing and was wondering if you could recommend some lakes in the Portland area that have good shore/bank access or docks that can be fished from.
He lives in the Gresham area so lakes around there would be a plus.
We hope to check out the shores of the Columbia too so if you know of good spots (general locations will do) any and all information would be greatly appreciated.
I will try to research more about Lakes in Oregon in the meantime. Thanks!

Hagg Lake is good and Lacamas Lake in Camas Washington is also good. The Willy in portland can be good from shore but I may take a few trips to find several locations that hold fish.

Well for Gresham area I wouldn't be afraid to try anything, Blue Lake included. I'd also work the sloughs around Chinook Landing off Marine Drive....and I'd definately hit any patch of rip-rap rock along Marine Drive on the C.Rvr for smallies. He might even walk out on the the Sandy Delta and wade the shallows around the islands.
Roster Rock S.P. is another area to investigate from shore. Even right there at the Corbett off-ramp.
Also give the ponds up near Benson Pk (just this side of Mult Falls). Maybe also wade the shore around Dalton Point launch, just this side of Mult. Falls (access from westbound lan only, so goto Mult. Falls and come back 1mile).
Hope this helps,

i also live eastside. huntnfish pretty much nailed it. blue or fairview lake, the latter which is hard to access, are good bets. you could also go up to bonneville and cathc shad from the shore.

the only thing that live in fairview are carps and bullhead. blue lake sucks if your fishing off the park side, you gotta get over to the other side of the lake to get into some action

Thanks, everyone! I've seen a sign to Blue Lake on the way to his house.
My gut tells me to explore the Columbia from the shore but fishing the other recommendations might be easier for my brother and dad who will also be hopefully joining us.
You guys are awesome!
